Do you get nervous when you are picked to speak in front of an audience? Well, in the Speech and Debate class, taught by Naomi Peyton, students are learning to speak up by impacting an audience for God’s glory. Last week, the class provided the fourth graders a look into the explorers of the past, while finding the biblical connection and discussing ways to interact with the students.
As a result of the high school students introducing history through a fun, entertaining presentation, the fourth grade class was eagerly awaiting to hear of the adventurers recorded in the past centuries. Tiffany Tremblay, a fourth grade student at CCA commented, “They got me interested in what they were talking about.” So whether you’re interested in signing up for the class next year to build your confidence, or you would like to learn better communication skills, remember you’re doing it all for the glory of God.
