The Method Behind God’s Magic

Francis Bacon, the “father” of the scientific method, believed that God sent man two sets of laws written by the same Author: nature and the Bible. The idea of God’s revelation in His creation is known as general revelation, yet in a day and age boasting evolution and big-bang theories, it seems like science is working against religion. Perhaps the only way to keep faith alive is to forfeit absolutes and back into a subjective belief, right?
God’s creation includes all of science, and every aspect bears His fingerprint. As modern discoveries revolutionize the thoughts of today, God is continually affirmed. Unfortunately, the irrefutable evidence of God isn’t likely to hold down the front-page spot in the New York Times anytime soon.
“Much of what is passed on as scientific truth is actually the interpretation of the significance of those facts based on the worldview of the presenter,” says Mrs. Laura Quinn, CCA Science Department Head. Mainstream media has obliged completely to interpret scientific discoveries in light of a secular perspective, glorifying evolution, humanism, and countless alternative doctrines.
The promises of science are broad. The area of astronomy hopes to find life outside of our own galaxy, man’s inherent nature promises revelation in psychology, and the study of anthropology is determined to trace back peoples’ myths and beliefs back to their point of origin using broken pottery and lost artifacts as their roadmaps.
Society does not need more interpretation or drawn conclusions, nor does the Calvary student body specifically. Which is why The Messenger proudly introduces a continuing column focusing purely on the newest discoveries with only the facts to objectively prove the existence of God.
Creation, heterosexuality, the inerrancy of Scripture, including the resurrection of Christ, are heated topics, and above all else, know this: knowledge is power. Let us search it out together. Stay tuned for the next article entitled: “G
